William A. Baker MBE (born September, 1954), is more commonly recognised in literary circles by nom de plume as the internationally acclaimed, multiple award-winning author W. B. ==Early career==

Upon receipt of his Bachelor of Science, Baker then went on to attend the University of Hawaii at Manoa as a Graduate Teaching Assistant; where he studied under the internationally recognised Terence Knapp. He relocated to the United Kingdom to continue graduate studies at Cardiff University in 1979 as a Rotary Foundation International Graduate Fellow.



During two years at ''Coleg Y Brifysgol Caerdydd'', he was invited to participate in international tours to The International Festival of University Theatre (Nantes, France) and the then National Theatre of Western France in Rennes, Brittany, with production assistance to the Welsh National Opera, Theatre Wales (National Theatre of Wales), and in tours to the Africa Centre in Covent Garden (London), the Oxford Festival of Theatre, and the Salisbury Playhouse.
After receiving his PgD in Theatre (Postgraduate Diploma from Cardiff University), he relocated to London and attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art before travelling to the United States and assuming the post of Associate Professor and Chairman of the Theatre Department at Avila University; a position he held until 1996. During his tenure, he was twice honoured with Avila University’s Professor of the Year Award for Teaching Excellence and served as Guest Speaker at numerous conventions of the International Thespian Society and the American College Theatre Association.
